Most of us have attended a funeral service and we know that it is usually the case that a Eulogy is read by a family member or someone close to the deceased. A Eulogy is a speech written about the person whose life is being celebrated that day.
Writing a Eulogy can be quite a task because it involves finding out a lot about the person who is the subject of the speech. If you are a family member it obviously helps, but even then, you will need to consult others who knew the deceased to gather some more notable facts and anecdotes.
Once all the information is gathered, it is then usually put in chronological order, which then paints a very vivid picture of the unique life of the deceased. Often very personal, sometimes sad and often humorous, it forms a very integral part of the service.
We are able to help with this task, but we find that Eulogies written by those closest to the deceased make the best speech writers,
…a message delivered from the heart is always the best.
