Funeral Process
The funeral process starts with the first phone call you make to Sunraysia Funerals. We are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Your immediate welfare is our priority and so there is no rush to organise things.
People are often suddenly confronted with this situation and don’t know what to do. Rest assured we are here to give you comfort and support and to answer all your questions and guide you through the process.
Once formal and official matters relating to the deceased, including the completion of a Death Certificate have been undertaken and when you are ready, we will meet with you and your family again to discuss arrangements for the farewell of your loved one.
In some circumstances the deceased may be the subject of a coroner’s autopsy in which case the body will need to be transported from the place of death to the coroner’s office. This may lead to some delay with setting the date of the service.
The nature and content of the service is something we specialise in assisting families with. Just as everyone is different in life, so it is with a funeral. We work with you to ensure the most appropriate farewell is created to celebrate the life of the deceased in the manner chosen.
Assistance and advice with writing Eulogies, choosing Prayers and Readings, as well as the choice of a venue, meeting with the Minister, Chaplain or Celebrant is all taken care of in the process of arranging the farewell.
In accordance with your wishes, Sunraysia Funerals will produce the service booklet, help select the music and produce any picture or video presentations that may be requested for the service.
The cost of each funeral will vary according to the wishes of those who are responsible for the arranging of the farewell and we can structure affordable packages to suit every circumstance.
Viewing
If you wish to arrange for a private viewing of your loved one in the Chapel, this can be arranged at a time to suit you and it may be done on more than one occasion if that is required.
